To get into The Maze you have to enter off Mansfield Road and through The Maze pre-bar, THE FOREST TAVERN.
The Forest Tavern has been on this site for over 100 years and no matter what the rear of the building has been used for (boxing clubs, Irish dance halls, trophy rooms, smoking rooms or as it is today a live music venue) The Forest Tavern has stayed the same.
Today The Tavern is a friendly and relaxing place where you can enjoy a good beer, wine or spirit in good company after work or before heading into the back room or into town on a night out.
You will find a high standard of products in the Forest Tavern with a full range of award winning Castle Rock real ales, continental lagers, Guinness and Stowford Press cider on tap plus shooters, spirits, wines and an extensive range of bottled beers, ciders and soft drinks.
Once you have your tipple of choice you can soak up the relaxing atmosphere in our comfy chairs and sofas or chat with other customers around our standing tables or prop up the bar and let the staff entertain you.
We have a quiz machine (and you can win money on it if your clever enough) for those trivial pursuers among you and we have decks of cards, dominoes and sometimes even chess available to challenge your friends or the regulars to a ‘friendly’ game.
We have very reasonable prices on all our ales, lagers and bottles as well as £2.90 for any double (Vodka, Gin, Whiskey or Dark Rum) plus on tap mixer (Coke, Diet Coke, Lemonade, Soda or Energy drink) every night of the week.
We also do a wide range of shooters at just £1.50 – £2 a shot.
You will also find a piano in the corner which we are happy for people to have a play on (as long as you don’t just hit it!) or some nights you will find some of Nottingham’s best musicians jamming it out over a few pints!
We are very welcoming of stag, hen or birthday parties and run a comfortable, safe and friendly pub and venue.
