Ho ho ho… coming up in December!

It’s that time of year again… the time when we’re all supposed to start thinking about tinsel and turkeys and buying comedy underwear for various members of our extended families, but instead put it off until Christmas eve and spend all our money on fine ales and cheap shots at The Maze‘s variety of Christmas specials!

There really is something for everyone this December, with Revolution Sounds covering the ska and punk at their epic Yuletide knees-up on Saturday 3rd, featuring The JB Conspiracy, Girlfixer, Luddite Bastard and loads more over 2 rooms. Those of you into the heavier stuff can revel in a night dedicated to old-skool grunge on Friday 2nd with Even Flow, the UKs number 1 Pearl Jam tribute act, plus a metal night dedicated to the memory of the irreplacable Pantera guitarist Dimebag Darrel on Thursday 8th.

Audacious Face and I’m Not From London are back with the infamous KERBLAMMO! on Friday 9th, with a line-up as strong as ever featuring SEAS OF MIRTH, HEY ZEUS, ALLOTMENT DOGS, DICK VENOM & THE TERRORTONES and loads more, over 3 action-packed rooms. As always it’s stupidly cheap on the door and with live music and DJs until 2am.

If dancing until the wee hours is your thing, PSYCLE are back on Saturday 10th for another smattering of psychadelic bubbly psy-trance, Notts Collective bring you a mash up of jungle, drum & bass, hip hop and more with their Christmess special on Friday 16th and SMOKESCREEN SOUNDSYSTEM return with their own brand of deep dubby house on Saturday 17th.

If Christmas Eve TV isn’t really your thing, on Saturday 24th Santa Gaz and his elves bring you a night of live music, mulled wine and mince pies. Expect crackers, party games, cheesy Christmas tunes and much merriment from all angles.

See you in December!

AMAZING WEEKEND!!!

What an amazing weekend!! I feel very tired but very happy! Big up to people involved Ben Farnsworth, Hannah Larham, William Robinson, Parisa Eliyon for helping organise and put HUGE lineups together!
Thanks to ALL the bands, artists and punters…we hope you enjoyed it all as much as us!!
HUGE MASSIVE thanks to Matthew Bean and Edward Salt for getting the second room made! We didn’t have as much happening up there as planned this weekend but BIG things will happen up there soon and I think all the hard work will pay off!!
MASSIVE THANKS, LOVE and RESPECT to Mr Kaveh Birch….him, Gaz and Steph were painting and decorating the new room for 12-16 hours a day all week last week and then Kav did 3 of the longest, hardest and most crowded shows ever in 3 days over the weekend putting in over 100 hours work in a week and a lot of his own time and money….dealing with over 60 bands, over 4 stages and loads of parents, promoters, fans and managers….and he still didn’t kill himself….the man is a pure LEGEND!
Please check out the promoters involved in the weekend who all will be putting on more shows at the Maze and hopefully more BIG gigs for your entertainment!
