The rumours are true… The Maze is expanding to a 3 room venue with the addition of our second gig and DJ room!
If you were one of the 400-odd people who attended the sold-out PSYCLE Masquerade Ball on Saturday you’ll have already seen the new room, located upstairs and accessible via the smoking area. If you missed out, your next chance to check out the new space will be our epic launch weekend on 29th, 30th April and 1st May!
Some of Nottingham’s best promoters and coming together to launch the new room in style, with The Maze’s own ska-punk-reggae experts REVOLUTION SOUNDS taking over on Friday, with MUZIKA adding a gypsy funk vibe and BACK TO BASICS bringing their very own brand of roots reggae. Live bands include THE JB CONSPIRACY, CATCH-IT KEBABS, BREADCHASERS, JIMMY THE SQUIRREL, SHANKLAND and THE UNDERCATS plus loads more – full details here!
Saturday 30th April sees the very first KERBLAMMO! event, bi-monthly three-room mash-ups at The Maze brought to you by the wonderful people at I’M NOT FROM LONDON and AUDACIOUS FACE! Loads of awesome acts from Nottingham and beyond, all for cheaps and with a great party atmosphere. Bands include BABY GODZILLA, FIXIT KID, BODUKWE, ULYSSES STORM, BROADCAST BY THE SEA and loads more, plus very special solo sets from ‘Hot Japanese Girl’ ALI POW3RS and ‘Old Basford’ DAN WILKES. DJ’s are in the form of NPAG (‘No Pussy All Glory’) spinning garage tunes until 2am! Check out the Facebook event here.
ACOUSTICKLE turns 2 years old on Sunday 1st May, with an all-day extravaganza of beautiful music in the form of DELTA SUN, EMILY RACHEL MARTIN & WILL JEFFREY, JAKE BUGG, MARK REEVES, DANIEL DOBBS and loads more! Full line-up here!
Each show is super cheap to get in, with Friday and Sunday costing just £5 and Saturday a measely £3.50. What’s more, if you want to go to all three events (and why wouldn’t you?) a weekend wristband is £12, saving you a few quid in the process! So no excuses to come down and party, just get in there early ‘cos we expect all these events to be rammed to the rafters even with the lovely extra space!
