Katy Hurt & Friends On the Road presents…
A Night of Country, Americana, Rock and Blues

Katy Hurt
After meeting Katy and seeing her perform BBC Radio 2’s Paul Sexton wrote…
Hurt has lived a lot of country for an artist yet to hit 20. American culture is stamped on her singer-songwriter soul, from a childhood spent living there with her family. Then she returned to the UK to put her love of Nashville styles to good use. Hence the emergence of the most exciting prospect on the burgeoning country scene. Hurt’s distinctive EP Pieces Of Me is the latest evidence of a career that’s already produced an iTunes UK Country No. 1 in last year’s ‘Love You More,’ among other successes. Next comes an album, fuelled by her experience as a songwriter and as a vivacious and magnetic performer. Her 1st single ‘Part Time Girlfriend’ reached not only No. 2 on the UK country chart but the top 20 of iTunes’ worldwide country listing, and now the momentum was undeniable. Now there’s the Pieces Of Me EP, the best representation yet of her song-writing imagination and influences. Co-Written/produced with guitarist Gab Zsapka, and recorded live in just six hours of studio time.

Featuring:
Sonia Leigh
Where most artists put themselves in a box, Sonia Leigh maintains an individuality that is so liberating it extends beyond genre and ventures into a new world of self expression. From her country upbringing to her rebellious city lifestyle, changes have always been a catalyst for creativity. With past success writing songs for Zac Brown Band and touring across the world with country rockers like Eric Church, it seems that a chapter has been closed and a new one open in her story. Sonia’s most recent projects experiment with new sounds and collaborators, as her music develops into an ever-changing narrative on the human experience.
From Nashville to LA, from Atlanta to the UK and back – There is no boundary to her musical reach. As an independent artist, she finds comfort in the idea of creating her own opportunity and refining her craft. Still on the move and still changing, Sonia prepares for the release of her next solo record and dark pop project in 2017. Bringing light into her own darkness, she evokes deliverance and self discovery with every word.
