Junk Parlor is born from the wild musical wanderings of Jason Vanderford, renowned for his five years recording and touring with gypsy jazz sensation The Hot Club of San Francisco, their energizing musical collage includes 50’s rock and roll rumbling atop gypsy rhythms, a bit of Gipsy Rhumba, tango, Eastern Euro/Hungarian music, bellydance, punk…Vanderford was raised on “rock and roll and punk and everything under the sun,” so other sounds are certain to appear as the gypsy junk rockers continue their jam.

Embarking on their first tour through the U.K. they are thrilled to share the stage with local favorites Manière des Bohémiens who play Gypsy jazz with the jaunty abandon of a misspent youth and a broken heart arranged for 5 young virtuoso musicians who travel around playing the violin, guitar, sax and double bass whilst dipping in and out of Parisian alleyways and absorbing pieces of the colourful lives they meet along the way. They have been entertaining the folks of Nottingham and far beyond for many years with their infectious blend of improvised, manouche jazz and rough-edged, virtuosic eastern-european gypsy-folk music.

Tickets are £4 and doors open at 8pm!
