On the 9th of September Imara will be hosting a fundraiser gig at the Maze to kick off the crowdfunding campaign for our Sanctuary Space Project. This is a project to renovate the therapy rooms, waiting area and garden at our premises and transform them into warm and welcoming areas for our clients. This is a vital piece of work which will allow Imara to better deliver essential therapeutic treatment for all the service users. Funding for the project begins on the 1st of September, and we are aiming to raise £7,500 by the end of October!
Entry tickets and raffle tickets are available from https://fixr-app.com/event/230652618, with entry priced from £5 and raffle tickets £2 each. Our raffle on the night has many prizes up for grabs, which have been generously donated by local businesses, including a Fitbit, an ice cream maker and tickets to see Beauty and the Beast at the Theatre Royal

We’ve scoured the local area to find the best acts Nottingham has to offer, and the night will feature performances from an eclectic mix of local acts including…

KaBen: KaBen are a Nottingham based musical duo covering pop songs from across the decades in their own jazzy/soulful/bluesy style.

Rhythmical Mike: Poetry & spoken word artist from Derbyshire, UK, covering topics including mental health, society, government, activism, connection, change and corruption.

The Jellyfish Are Calling: A new, young band from Nottingham, playing fresh alternative and punk tracks. They recently finished as runners up in Noise From The Next Generation, a live music competition to find the best young musicians Nottingham has to offer

45: Fantastic song writing band from Derby, playing an exciting set of original mod tunes for us on the night.

The night will also feature music from local solo artists Louis and Shaman Erginer

We also have cabaret and burlesque from a variety of performers, including Maxima Bunting, Sue Larue, Pete Lynn, Alabama Boom, Andy Holdsworth and Steph Selby. Expect singing, dancing, fire, juggling, comedy and a whole lot more!
