It’s been 25 years since the eight-piece band exploded onto the Nottingham music scene with their hard funk grooves and seductive Latin vibes that had club walls dripping.
This is the quarter-century homecoming party of ‘Dr Egg & The Love Specialists’.
On the night, The Maze will be transformed into a world of egg energy, with vibrant pulsing power and songs straight from the heart. This will be their reunion – and possibly only gig – one not to be missed.
Also, at the party will be special guests –
Sieben – an old friend of the band who has gone onto perform internationally.
Juga-Naut and J Little are sons founder members of ‘Dr Egg & The Love Specialists’. They are prodigious hip-hop artistes in their own right and are repping the new generation of Egg People at this one-off groove fest.
Sieben is the one-man, violin-looping work of Matt Howden who beats, plucks, tickles and layers voice and violin. The MJR Festival in Lithuania has this to say – Sieben is “bringing us driving rhythms, vocals as intense visions and charming landscapes, loop by loop building a shining starway over the Abyss, to our dreams.”
Sieben has to be seen to be believed.
Juga-Naut represents the best that UK hip-hop has to offer. A multi-talented young emcee, producer and sound engineer with an international following, he creates every aspect of his music himself – from concept to final product.
Juga-Naut has collaborated with renowned UK artists such as Joe Buhdha, Wretch32 and Scorzayzee and performed on legendary UK stages, opening for hip-hop royalty including Rakim, Big Daddy Kane and DJ Premier.
Juga-Naut combines exquisite lyricism, hardcore beats and authentic soul – with a deep love for food, art, music and culture.
DJ Osborne will be playing an eclectic mix of Jazz-Funk, Soul-Funk thrown down with some Deep House and Hip-Hop.
